Lake Wobegon Outfitters is now SunCycles, a mobile E-bike rental service that makes exploring the outdoors easy, convenient, and fun! Our Velotric E-bikes let you set the pace with 5 levels of pedal assist, because you—and the trails—have moods. 

Level 1:  Just a whisper of help. For when you could do it alone, but why would you?

Level 2:  A gentle nudge to keep things breezy. Perfect for sunny coasting and mid-ride snacks.

Level 3:  The “I’m not here to sweat, I’m here to chill and soak in the scenery” setting.

Level 4:  A solid boost when the legs start to question your life choices. Hills? Headwinds? Ha.

Level 5:  The turbo button. The “catch up to your fast friend” mode. Use responsibly—and enjoy every second.

Book online, then pick up your fully-charged E-bike at the Lake Wobegon Trailhead in Avon, MN.

10 AM -4 PM Full Day Rental: No strict start time. No "are we late?" calls. Just show up when you're ready. Once you're on the bike, the only commitment is simple: be back by 4:00 PM. Flexible start. Fixed return. Everything in between is yours.

SunCycles operates from a mobile trailer designed to make renting easy. Our solar-supported trailer carries fully charged E-bikes, helmets, and gear so you can arrive, check in, and start riding in minutes.

  • Yes, but we're not strict about the time you arrive. We're open 10 AM -4 PM.

  • Suggestions: water bottle, sunscreen, light jacket-dress for the weather.
    Items included with your rental: Helmet, bike lock, rack with bike trunk

  • Yes. You must agree to our Terms & Conditions waiver at the time of pickup.

  • Riders must be 18 or older to rent

    All riders must be a minimum of 15 years old per Minnesota state law

    Riders under 18 must be accompanied by a renting adult

  • While walk-in rentals are available, we highly recommend making a reservation in advance, especially during peak riding seasons. Reserving an E-bike in advance expedites the rental process at the time of your ride.

  • Yes. Helmets are included with your E-bike rental.

  • No. We don't allow attaching child carrier trailers to our E-bikes.
